DRMed E-Books Download Practice

Apparently the downloading of DRMed e-books proves to be a frustrating experience to people. Diesel eBooks has come up with a test site, which let's you see if your system is ready to do some 'DRM downloading'. Scott Redford of Diesel eBooks says:
"We've offered free unencrypted ebooks since our start, but that's not the same. To truly simulate a download, there has to be Digital Rights Management (DRM), involved. Our test downloads are the real thing so once you get one under your belt you can be confident there won't be a problem when it's time to use the credit card."
The only problem I had, was on Diesel's side, getting this message when I did a Palm/eReader test download:
We are sorry. This ebook has been downloaded the maximum permitted number of times.
Who's permission? The DRM's?
